PAD KA PRAO is a simple and quick-to-prepare dish for lunch. The authenticity lies in a special mixture of spices with the addition of holy basil. The seasoning sauce is a combination of soy, oyster and fish sauce. Together with rice, meat and two eggs fried in Thai style (using a lot of oil so that the egg whites have brown, crispy edges when fried), the dish is given an original, unique, Thai taste. Chicken is usually used, but pork, beef or other minced meat can also be used. In the vegetarian version, tofu or mushrooms can be used instead of meat.
