Nutritional value of 100 g of product: energy value: 700 kJ / 167 kcal; fat: 0 g, of which saturated fatty acids: 0 g carbohydrates: 0.4 g, of which sugars: 0.4 g; protein 0 g; salt: 1.25 g.

Use: dissolve 10 g of agar-agar in 1 L of cold water and add sweetener if necessary. Cook for 3 min, stirring constantly. Then allow to cool slightly. Then pour into a mold and let it harden in the refrigerator. Agar-agar can also be prepared in fruit or other juices. Agar-agar is suitable for making creams, fillings, puddings and jellies.

Fast setting: Agar gels and hardens faster than ordinary animal gelatin, which means that dishes will be prepared faster and firmer. This is important when making desserts, jellies, cakes, pies, aspics and similar goodies that you don't want to wait a long time for. It does not need a refrigerator to solidify, as it already occurs at 35-40 °C.


Ratios for different structures per 0.5 l of water:

0.8-1g: very fine texture
1 - 1.5 g: fine structure
4.5 - 5g: hard texture
6 - 7g : very hard structure (to brittle)

Unlike animal gelatin, agar can be allowed to pass through the boiling point and repeatedly heated without suffering its quality and ability to gel.
