pharmachologic effect
Antipohmelin is a remedy that slows down the natural work of the enzyme (alcohol dehydrogenase) to oxidize alcohol.
This allows the body to better cope with intoxication, slowly but surely processing alcohol.
Antipohmelin also accelerates the reaction to break down already formed acetaldehyde and acetic acid into carbon dioxide and water, which means that acetaldehyde remains in the body for a minimum time.
