Green tea:
It is called unfermented tea because it does not undergo the oxidation process. It is obtained by heating/roasting the leaves to speed up the wilting process and prevent them from fermenting. After this stage, the leaves are formed by rolling them. Production ends with drying and sorting. Green tea is a source of polyphenols and antioxidants essential for good health and longevity.

Brewing method:
Pour a teaspoon of tea with hot water at a temperature between 70 degrees C and 80 degrees C. The brewing time should be from 3 to 5 minutes. Green tea leaves can be brewed two or three times. The first brewing should last about 3 minutes, and each subsequent brewing should be extended by 1 minute.

Sri Lanka – the only producer of Ozone Friendly tea

Under the influence of scientists' warnings, an international agreement on the protection of the ozone layer, the so-called Montereal Protocol, was signed in 1987 in Montereal. Under the protocol, the use of methyl bromide in tea production in Sri Lanka was gradually reduced and then completely eliminated.

Due to this quick and effective action, Sri Lanka was recognized as a "leader in ozone layer protection", receiving the Montreal Implementers Award in 2007.

All teas grown in Sri Lanka are 100% Ozone friendly. It is worth noting that no other tea-producing country can boast of such an achievement.

Ceylon teas bear the new "Ozone Friendly Pure Ceylon Tea" logo, confirming that it was produced without the use of any ozone-depleting substances.
