Its leaves have a characteristic shape lanceolate. The flowers are small and have a green-yellow color. The fruit of this plant is a bag containing small pinkish-beige seeds whose shell is rich in mucous compounds.

Plantago is consumed in the form of seeds or shells with meals or drinks. Added to the meals in the form of scales or seeds, it compacts them, which is why it is a good addition to soups and sauces. Plantago ovata dextrose can be served as an addition to yogurt or milk, along with fruit.
